Admission Procedure

  • Admission into 3 years degree course under Semester System is given purely on unit & is subject to Dibrugarh University Regulation.

  • There is a provision for reservation of seats as per Govt. and College rules as per the following details.
    A.  Statutory Reservation
          Scheduled Caste (S.C) – 7%
          Scheduled Tribes, Plain (S.T.P) – 10%
          S.T. Hills (S.T.H) – 5%
          Other Backward class – 27%
    Note : Caste certificate must be submitted along with Application Form. Certificate must be counter signed by Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned or any competent-authority as approved by the Govt.

             B. Differently Abled (Physically Handicapped) : 3% of the total seats on production of Medical Certificate

                  issued by the Joint Director of Health Services of the district concerned.
 

             C. Sports : 3 seats at degree level is reserved under Sports Quota. Candidates must submit certificate 

                  issued by National Sports federation or any other state level Sports Authority.
 

             D. Tea & ex-tea garden community : A total 75 seats at degree level is reserved under this quota.

  • A photo Identity Card will be provided to the students after their enrolment into the programme. The enrolled students are required to produce the identity card as & when required.

  • The college reserves the right to amend the rules & regulation wherever considered necessary & appropriate.

  • The Principal's decision regarding admission is final.

Rules & Regulations

The college runs its various activities as per the Annual Academic Calendar adopted at the beginning of each academic session. The academic schedule of the college provides for lot of home assignments, guided tutorials, group discussions, etc. both within and outside the class room.
The college stands for a high sense of discipline and moral values. Obedience to and regard for rules is given utmost importance. Any breach of good manners, courtesy and etiquette or any action likely to lower the good name of the college is regarded as a breach of discipline.

* A fine of Rs. 500/- is imposed for using mobile phone inside the college campus.
* A fine of Rs. 500/- is imposed on uniform breakers.

 

Attendance

Students’ attendance in class is compulsory. For H.S. & TDC Part II & III a student must attend at least 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject to be eligible for appearing in the University and Council examinations as a regular student.
A student who attends at least 60% of the lectures delivered shall, however, be allowed to appear in the examination as a non-collegiate candidate on payment of prescribed fee. Further no candidate shall be allowed to appear in the University and Council examinations with below 60% of attendance in the classes.

 

College Uniform

Wearing of Uniform and Badge is compulsory.

  • Boys :  White Shirt and black trousers.

  • Girls :  White Salwar and Kurta with sky-blue Chunni.
    Or,
    Muga coloured Mekhela with blue bordered white Chaddar and white blouse.
